The microswitch gives the appliance the ability to perform certain actions dependent on certain stimuli. The microswitch in a hydraulic diverter valve, for example, is activated when a tap that is connected to the system is is activated. The microswitch then sends a communication to the electronic control, letting it know that more hot water is needed and that the procedure for heating water should be activated.
